Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) tenders

The Catholic school board serving Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Dufferin County. This page explains where DPCDSB bid opportunities are posted, the Supply Chain Management thresholds, and the advertising and addenda timing rules.

How DPCDSB procurement works

DPCDSB runs centralized purchasing through its Supply Chain Management department under Policy P-7000 (Supply Chain Management) and procedure GAP7000. The board follows the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive and its five key principles — accountability, transparency, value-for-money, quality service delivery and process standardization — and encourages cooperative purchasing with other school boards and Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangements before falling back to its own open competitive processes. That places it in the same BPS-governed family as the Peel District School Board (PDSB) and the rest of our school board tenders guide.

Where DPCDSB bids are posted: bids&tenders only

DPCDSB bid opportunities are available only on bids&tenders — vendors subscribe as suppliers on the platform, and the subscription also covers opportunities from hundreds of other purchasing agencies. In bids&tenders the board may request Digital Bonds on opportunities that require a bid deposit; vendors confirm bond arrangements with their broker or the Surety Association of Canada. Account-creation questions go to [email protected]; board-specific questions go to DPCDSB's Supply Chain Department.

Procurement thresholds: when bids go open-competitive

Under GAP7000, goods and non-consulting services up to $19,999.99 (non-school departments) or $9,999.99 (schools) can be purchased informally. Invitational competitive procurement with at least three vendors applies in the middle lanes — $20,000–$59,999.99 and $60,000–$121,199.99 for non-school departments, $10,000–$24,999.99 and $25,000–$121,199.99 for schools. At $121,200 or more, Supply Chain Management must run an open competitive process — a Request for Tender (RFT) when specifications can be written, a Request for Proposal (RFP) when only the need can be specified — issued through the online platform.

Advertising and addenda timing rules

Procurements valued at $121,200 or more must be advertised for a minimum of fifteen calendar days, and any addenda must be issued at least seven calendar days before the closing date. Closing dates must fall on a normal working day, and late submissions are not considered. The Catholic sibling boards on nearby platforms — Halton Catholic (HCDSB), York Catholic (YCDSB) and Durham Catholic (DCDSB) — run similar BPS-driven timing rules, so reading the addenda trail is table stakes across the GTA.
